Already from the second edition, the South Market began to grow at a speed we did not expect.

We received countless requests from exhibitors eager to be part of the project and an incredible turnout of visitors, curious and fascinated by the event's unique atmosphere.

In those months we had an extraordinary response for a project still in its infancy.

It was those first steps that laid the foundation for everything that came after.

In May 2024, South Market 's first major collaboration was born with one of the most important events on the Neapolitan scene, also recognized at a national level: Comicon .

On that occasion, the South had the opportunity to bring its exhibitors into a new setting , with an entirely dedicated area.

Needless to say, it was a success . A precious opportunity for us and our exhibitors to showcase ourselves in a completely different context.

Spoiler alert: we've renewed our partnership with Comicon in 2025... and we're back with even more exhibitors!

In June 2024, before the summer break, the South Market took a big leap: it moved to the Giardino dei Cedri at the Mostra d'Oltremare, transforming itself into a true open-air village .

Over 70 stands , an even richer food area, relaxation areas on the lawns, swings, a basketball court, video games... a space designed to be enjoyed from beginning to end of the day, between discovery, sharing and lightheartedness.

And like any self-respecting village, music couldn't be missing: the market closed with a DJ set at sunset , which accompanied the public until 11 pm, transforming the end of the day into a magical moment of collective celebration.

After the “Back to School” edition in September 2024 and the debut in November in the new, charming location in the historic center — the Chiostro Don Orione Cottolengo — in December the South Market decided to do things in a big way: celebrate Christmas and its first birthday in the right way, with the first double-digit edition .

Two days of market in the evocative setting of the Cloister, with an enriched program: in addition to the workshop area, for the first time we have also inaugurated the theater area , with film screenings and a stand-up comedy show.

A special edition, which mixed tradition and innovation, and marked a new chapter in the history of the South.

2025 started with a bang, with a very popular February edition, followed by a spring edition that already had a summery feel: sun, half sleeves, and a Southern Market more lively than ever! For this edition, the South also offered a creative workshop dedicated to making Easter eggs , and—for the first time—opened the doors of the theater to welcome new languages ​​and collaborations. On the program: a book presentation curated by one of the publishing houses we have long collaborated with, and the screening of Ciao Bambino , a film nominated for a David di Donatello for best debut, followed by a meeting with the director. An edition that has once again consolidated the South as a recognized and eagerly awaited event in the Neapolitan events scene.

So, what awaits us in this tenth edition?

So much: a special edition, bigger than ever.

100 exhibitors brought the flea market to life for the first time, alongside a renovated food area, craft workshops, sunset yoga, a talk area, a children's area, and much more!

South Talk made its debut, with guests and discussions throughout Sunday, facilitated by Escape Vision, and stand-up comedy to close out the day.

Among the new features, the DJ set by the Soul Express collective which enlivened the Saturday evening and the sports tournaments of the Bench Bar Sport with prizes up for grabs.

A weekend-long party that kicked off the Neapolitan summer!
